Weekend 'o Fun!!!

So the first week in Korea was a success...a successful first nite out, a successful first hang over...and a successful swim in my apartment...?!?!?!?!

So friday nite we went out for drinks and food. A girl that had been here for two years was leaving...I didn't really know her...to be expected as I just got here and well I don't really know too many people yet..haha..none the less we were all invited. So Dave (my new friend from NYC, who also started at the same time as me) Cass and I went to this restaurant and started drinking Soju....

Now let me explain something about this Soju...its a liquor made from potatoes...and like I said kinda tastes like vodka and its dirt cheap here...anyways, you drink it and nothing, you keep drinking and nothing...and suddenly BAM!!!!!!!!!!! you're drunk....

After the restaurant, where you sit on the floor and eat delicious bbq'd pork and beef, we ran into Adam from Brantford, who also started at MoonKkang at the same time as me...he and his friends where out and about too...we all went to another bar and had more soju....

Then came the singing....Koreans LOVE LOVE LOVE kareoke...and then have these kareoke rooms....private rooms with mics, tvs, tamborines and you can drink more soju at these places...and drink we did...we also sang a few songs...hahahaha

After the singing we had to dance....we left the dance club at 5:30AM and the sun was starting to come up...the place was still full but we had to go home...hahaha...seriously in what other country can you party like this!!!!!!!!!!!

Needless to say...saturday was not the best day in the life of Dalia...as a matter of fact I can pretty much say that it sucked until about 8 pm when I ate something and had another drink...hahaha

On sunday, I woke up to find my apartment had 2 inches of water in it...my shoes were floating by the front door and there was water EVERYWHERE!!!!!

Turns out the whole first floor on my bulding was under water basically. So the nice Korean landlord came to the rescue...everything seems to be under control at the moment...pipes where cleaned and floors were lifted to dry...we shall see if the water comes again...

That is all for now...I started teaching today, so far so good...kids are good, more stories to come on that I'm sure....
